This webinar will focus on required updates to Spill Emergency Response Plans for sewer systems currently enrolled for coverage under State Water Resources Control Board’s Order No. 2006-0003-DWQ, Statewide General Waste Discharge Requirements for Sanitary Sewer Systems. The State Water Resources Control Board recently reissued the General Order with the adoption of Order No. 2022-0103-DWQ, which will become effective on June 5, 2023. The reissued Order requires existing enrollees to update and implement Spill Emergency Response Plans by June 4, 2023 to comply with the reissued Order. This webinar will: (1) review requirements in the reissued General Order driving changes to existing Response Plans, (2) walk through the portions of the plan requiring changes and provide guidance on performing updates, and (3) will provide guidance on putting these potential changes into practice by June 4, 2023.
